KIS Plus designed and delivered the Asset Insight Nuggets (AINs) initiative, a structured knowledge-sharing campaign developed to strengthen asset management awareness and capability across the Royal Commission system, including Jubail, Yanbu, Jazan, Ras Al Khair, and Riyadh. The programme provides concise, visually engaging monthly insights that translate complex asset management principles into practical, actionable knowledge for staff at all organisational levels. Covering key themes such as lifecycle management, risk-based decision-making, data-driven asset intelligence, and digital transformation, AINs supports the embedding of ISO 55000-aligned practices within day-to-day operations. Distributed across all Royal Commission cities, the initiative promotes a culture of continuous learning, alignment, and operational excellence, enabling the organisation to enhance asset performance, improve decision-making, and support long-term infrastructure sustainability.

Rehabilitation and Infrastructure Recovery Program

Consultant to the Government of the Virgin Islands and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), providing strategic programme leadership for the Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Recovery Programme. Led the development of short-, medium-, and long-term disaster recovery strategies and oversaw the delivery of critical infrastructure projects including roads, retaining walls, coastal defences, water reservoirs, distribution networks, ICT systems, and energy infrastructure. Directed engineering design management and programme delivery across multiple sectors, including ICT systems for police, courts, and schools, disaster management facilities, and specialised education infrastructure. Also led seismic and climate-change vulnerability assessments to strengthen long-term infrastructure resilience across the territory.

Port Assessment, Preparedness and Implementation Plan

KPL developed and provided specialist guidance and recommendations to enable: a. Restoration of port functionality to deliver efficient services and support the economic recovery of the British Virgin Islands (BVI); b. Development of a clear and robust costing framework to ensure the delivery of a financially sustainable port operation; c. Recommendations to the ministry on tariff structures and mechanisms to improve revenue collection and enforcement. The programme also included training, mentoring, and capacity development for key management staff within the BVI Ports Authority (BVIPA). This Implementation Plan outlines key considerations and provides strategic recommendations across several critical areas.

Asset Management Training and Capacity Development Programme

KPL delivered an Asset Management training programme to support the Government of the Virgin Islands in strengthening infrastructure governance and rebuilding efforts following catastrophic events. The initiative, led by the Ministry of Communications and Works and supported by international partners, introduced senior government officials and policy makers to modern asset management principles and practices. The sessions provided practical guidance on asset identification and valuation, lifecycle planning, maintenance strategies, cost forecasting, and disaster recovery planning. The programme also supported the implementation of a structured government-wide asset management framework, enabling the Territory to better manage its infrastructure portfolio, improve investment decisions, and protect the long-term value of public assets.
